“Cypress by the Sea” by Scott Martin

Imagine sitting in front of this mature cypress tree on a hot summer’s day, a cool breeze washing over you as you stare into the sea. You can hear the faint rhythm of the ocean relaxing the stress away.

Alameda, is where Scott felt the inspiration to paint this ancient sentinel. Like the impressionist masters before him, he fervently painted to capture the days waning light that waved it’s final colors in the sky and reflecting onto this lone tree as a farewell until tomorrow.

It is this oil painting that won the peoples choice Award in 2011 and was our choice at R&M to print for everyone to enjoy.

Note! This picture does not even look as rich in color as it does in person. You have to see it in person to appreciate it’s beauty.
